Next one that I redrew is actually one of my personal favourites. Complete with scan lineart, black & white AND colour.

This was slightly different from my usual style, especially with the makeup, hair and even posture. I tried to covey she was a dance enthusiast with a chill personality.

At the bottom are little notes to myself for types of brushes I used and color swatches for reference.
I wanted clear lines for the lineart, and then I tried to convey different colours with black & white, which I then used as a point of reference for deciding the final colours for the final render. I’d also tried to use cell shading since I’d heard it was used as a quick shading method, and since I wasn’t as confident in my colour shading yet I gave it a go. I’m very happy with the results and it fits so well style-wise with the lineart.
I also wanted to use a lot of purple in this design, even when I was just sketching it out on paper. The volume and highlights in the hair is also something I quite like in this one.
