After all that colour blending, back to cel shading for now. This character is disgruntled because of all that paper work she’s holding. I normally draw characters who are smiling or with whimsical/neutral expressions, so drawing something like this was interesting.
You may notice two things about the eyes-
1. That the redraws are the same, because I couldn’t pick a colour which was better, it just looked right.
2. The shape of the eyes are different in the digital version than they are in the scanned sketch. This is because, given the expression on her mouth, her cheek would be tensed and the eye above it would be squished a little. It didn’t make sense in the scanned picture.
Other than that, I am very happy with how the cel shading made it turn out, because I was going for a more cartoony/stylized drawing in the first place.
