This redraw was mostly completed a while ago, but after finishing the black & white with red version I just didn’t want to render it in colour. I eventually came back and finished it, if only to complete it.

My intention was a twist on the Little Red Riding Hood concept; something a bit more modern.
I used the lineart in both other renders but also took care to use the width of the line to convey weight & colour.

I also didn’t use hatching shading in the colour render, but I like how it worked in the black & white with red version.
Again I think the makeup in black & white with red was the best version- especially that style of eyelashes, even if they changed from the pencil on paper sketch.
In the colour render- for the clothing underneath the cloak, I wanted something to contrast with it; and using the black & white as a base, I thought purple/indigo rather than grey. That way it will also contrast with the green and brown background.
I also tried my hand at dyed hair with visible roots with a more saturated colour for where the light hits it.
I’m still happy with how they all turned out though, especially the hair and the trees.
